In brief

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools. Fonts and images are stored on our own server, and we do not embed content from other providers. To deliver the website quickly and securely, all requests pass through the Cloudflare service (see below). We only process personal data where this is necessary to deliver the website or to handle your enquiry.

Hosting and server log files

The website runs on a server we rent from Server4You. With every visit, the web server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, requested page, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer), and browser and operating system.

We need this data to provide the website and to keep it secure, for example to detect attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest.

Cloudflare

Our domain uses the content delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. All requests to the website pass through Cloudflare servers. In doing so, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the requested page, date and time, and browser and operating system details in order to deliver the website, protect it against attacks and detect transmission errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf under a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Data may be transferred to the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see Cloudflare’s privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Contact by email or phone

If you write to us or call us, we process your details (for example name, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or its preparation, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Emails to addresses at our domain are received and stored on our behalf by external email providers (currently GoDaddy and Google). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations require longer storage.

Links to other websites

We link to our online shop, to marketplaces such as Amazon, Kaufland and eBay, and to other websites. Data is only transferred to the respective provider once you click such a link. Their privacy policy then applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where we process data on the basis of a legitimate interest, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal message to the email address above is sufficient.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
